slim francis and the d.c. rollers

heartache never sounded so good.

grab your boots and settle in for stripped-back arrangements of country classics and soul-stirring originals — songs that channel a bygone era of heartbreak, harmony, and grit. the band takes it’s cue from the early country greats including hank williams, ernest tubb, kitty wells, and red foley.

this hard-hitting, heavy swinging, classic country music outfit is based in brooklyn, nyc.

aric carroll: singer/songwriter and guitar
the songwriter at the center of it all, slim’s musical journey spans decades of americana, blues, and indie rock. known for his raw voice and rhythmic guitar work, he’s the creative force behind the d.c. rollers — blending classic country roots with a distinctly brooklyn edge.

cameron greider: guitar and lap steel
acclaimed guitarist, producer and composer who has worked with the incomparable joan baez, chris cornell, natalie merchant, sean lennon, freedy johnston, rufus wainwright, and p.m. dawn.

andrew hall: acoustic bass
has recorded and toured with sparkle horse (opening for radiohead), martha wainwright, donny mccaslin, crash test dummies, and big lazy — plus long-standing gigs with michael arenella’s dreamland orchestra and the moonlighters..

mike fumento: drums
a jazz-trained drummer with a blues backbone, mike studied at the university of miami before hitting the road. he’s performed with popa chubby and indie rockers darby jones, and brings steady rhythm and heart to every gig.

slim francis - blues

raw. emotional. all blues.

in this stripped-back incarnation, slim francis brings the blues to life the way it was meant to be felt — bare, unfiltered, and full of soul. as a one-man band, he commands the stage with stomping rhythms, howling guitar, and a voice that carries the weight of every note.

it’s not just performance — it’s possession.

slim francis - rock

the early years. brooklyn grit. distortion with a pulse.

before the honky-tonk heartbreak and americana soul, slim francis was carving out a sound that lived between garage rock and poetic rebellion. his early recordings are soaked in fuzz, emotion, and unfiltered storytelling — a blend of lo-fi urgency and lyrical weight.

"Tongue Tied Jack" is the latest single from Slim Francis' 2008 "Talk to Animals" release.
